The Canadian textile industry and the Textiles Human Resources Council were recognized for developing and implementing the Skills and Learning Sites and Portals.

Canadian Council on Learning: “Promising Practice” Award Winner in the Work & Learning category
The Textiles Human Resources Council, in partnership with MW Canada, was recognized for efforts to develop a workplace learning culture through the Skills and Learning Sites initiative.

The Conference Board of Canada: Workplace Literacy Award Winner
Stedfast Inc., in partnership with the Textiles Human Resources Council, was selected as a Workplace Literacy award winner representing small business.

Canadian Society for Training and Development (CSTD): Training Excellence (External E-Learning) Winner
Textile Training Through Technology® was recognized as an innovative training system that is meeting the needs of the Canadian textile workforce.

American Society for Training & Development (ASTD): Excellence in Workplace Learning and Development Winner
Textile Training Through Technology® was recognized as an innovative approach to industry-wide learning needs by the world’s leading workplace learning and performance association. ASTD was founded in 1944, and now has 70,000 members in 100+ countries.

The Conference Board of Canada: National Award for Learning Technologies in the Workplace Winner
Hafner Inc., in collaboration with the Textiles Human Resources Council, was recognized for using innovative, technology-enhanced learning in the workplace to raise employee skill levels and maintain worker employability.
