New Funding for Wage Subsidies Will your company be hiring a young post-secondary graduate in the next few months? The program that supports wage subsidies has been renewed and the Council is currently working to have additional funds earmarked for the textile industry through March 2009. The Textile Opportunities Program can provide up to $13,000 per person to help cover salary costs of cégep, college or university graduates under 31 in their first year of work. With a streamlined application process and 48-hour turnaround on approvals, the Council has committed more than $2 million in subsidies directly to Canadian textile manufacturers since the program began. Before you hire, get in touch with us for more information or to apply - applications must be approved prior to hiring the candidate. For more information, please contact Nicole Soucy.
