2007 - Canadian Council on Learning: "Promising Practice" Award Winner in the Work & Learning category

MW Canada, in partnership with the Textiles Human Resources Council, was recognized for efforts to develop a workplace learning culture as part of the Council's Skills and Learning Sites initiative.


2007 - Canadian CEO managazine: "The Fabric of Success"

The cover article highlights the Canadian textile industry’s collaborative approach and the important role that unions play in workplace learning initiatives, including projects such as the Skills and Learning Sites.


2005 - The Conference Board of Canada: Workplace Literacy Award Winner

Stedfast Inc., in partnership with the Textiles Human Resources Council was selected as a Workplace Literacy award winner, representing small business.


2004 - Canadian Society for Training and Development (CSTD)

Textile Training Through Technology® was awarded the Canadian Award for Training Excellence in the External E-Learning category.


2003 - American Society for Training & Development (ASTD): Textile Training Through Technology® was awarded in the 'Excellence in Workplace Learning and Development' category.

The ASTD awards identify and spotlight those who have advanced the knowledge and practice of workplace learning and performance, achieved organizational results in ways that value employees. Founded in 1944, the ASTD is the world's leading association of workplace learning and performance professionals, with 70,000 members from more than 100 countries.


2002 - The Conference Board of Canada: National Award for Learning Technologies in the Workplace

Presented to the Canadian businesses effectively using innovative, technology-enhanced learning in the workplace to raise employee skill levels or maintain the employability of workers.


2001 - Canada Post Literacy Awards Finalist

Training programs which recognize the importance of essential skills training in the workplaces of the nation, and leadership in delivering literacy and essential skills training programs to those who need them.


2000 - The Conference Board of Canada: National Partners in Business and Education Award

Excellence in business-education initiatives and partnerships that ensure the right skills for today and tomorrow.


1999 - Office of Learning Technologies: "Partnering for Learnware: Case Studies and Critical Success Factors"

This research report, commissioned by HRDC's Office of Learning Technologies, highlights ten 'best practices' in which workplace learning technologies was successfully developed and implemented.


1998 - Ontario Government Budget Papers - Jobs for the Future, Today

The THRC's Textile Management Internship Program (TMIP) was highlighted in the section, "Leading the Way: Industry Partnerships to Train for the Future", 1998 Ontario Government's Budget papers. pg. 156.
